"You will find that the object of becoming an able and efficient Boy Scout is not merely to give you fun and adventure but that, like the backwoodsmen, explorers and frontiersmen whom you are following, you will be fitting yourself to help your country and to be of service to other people who may be in need of help. That is what the best men are out to do."

Lord Baden-Powell of Gilwell
in the 1932 foreword to his book "Scouting for Boys"

Welcome to the homepage of the 1st Moncton St Georges Scout Troop. Sponsored by St George's Anglican church, we are Moncton, New Brunswick's oldest chartered scout troop!

For generations, hundreds of thousands of Canadian youth have benefited from Scouting's programs. They have sought the fun, friendship and adventure of the Movement and discovered its values, educational methods and youth leadership opportunities. In this current climate of globalization and societal change, more than ever before Canadian youth need the "fun with a purpose" that Scouting provides.

Scouts Canada, our parent organization, is the country’s leading youth organization, offers seven challenging programs for boys, girls and youth age 5-26 in nearly 3,600 individual groups in most cities and towns across Canada. Over 84,000 young people enjoy Scouts Canada’s programs, which are provided by 25,000 caring and dedicated volunteers.

Our group belongs to the South East Area, New Brunswick Council and we currently offer the following exciting scouting programs at St George's Church located at 51 Church Street, in Moncton, New Brunswick:
